Abstract

|
Intrasubstantial ligamentous injuries of knee in children were considered to be rare entities because of the relative weakness of adjacent physes and resiliency of the associated ligaments. Authors report a successful report of PCL reconstruction with achilles allograft by physeal sparing intra-articular method in ligament proper PCL injury of 12 year-old adolescent patient. The patient had the stable knee and full range of motion with excellent clinical results (Lysholm score 93, Tegner activity score 6).
